Such great news. Really did help me feel better with this stinking hangover I have. Hopefully the Taliban are now more likely to negotiate. Would be pretty damn good to get away from Afghanistan.

Why would the Taliban negotiate? They are more likely to celebrate his martyrdom ... or probably just not care one way or the other.

Despite both claiming to be Islamic groups, they are distinct in leadership and ideology (though the Taliban did "shield" Al Qaeda in Afghanistan that all changed after the "Allied" military operations in Afghanistan post 9/11).

Cheers,
Robin

P.S. The seemingly never ending wars fought along Christian/Muslim lines is an interesting bit of research. What did the Romans ever do for us? Well for starters, if they hadn't crucified Christ then we wouldn't be in this mess :-)

That's if he existed of course.

More likely myth, folk lore, or Hans Christian Anderson. Mind you would not mind knowing the loaf and five sardines trick, help to feed these kids that keep homing in each weekend.

As Steve says, makes sense to dispose of him so that it cuts down on the martyrdom aspect. Believe that they burnt him first.

Probably make no difference, but satisfying to those families that had members murdered. Turn the other cheek my ass, you just get that one slapped as well. Forgive and forget, yeah right on.
