Racing Stripes...

Post by ceebeedee » Sat Oct 08, 2011 10:41 am

having looked through the forum posts on this topic, i can tell it polarises opinion. More piss taken than praise given it seems..!

BUT - I like A Lotus with stripes...

There, now I've said it I feel much better. Think it was that matchbox Europa my Uncle Jim gave me when I was 7 that did it...

My question is - where have members bought Elise stripes from - I fancy a DIY kit route rather than having someone else do it, more for grins than budget.

Cheers

PS - Feel that I should confess that I'm honestly looking at Lime Green (my company identity colour) double stripes on my Black S2 - may the piss take begin...!?!

There have been many striped cars on here, and they look good if done properly.

I'm sure a few minutes searching the net will reveal where to get them. Think it's a personal thing but IMO they suit the Elise/Exige much better than other cars that have them. Do it! :thumbsup

We did my Mr2 about a week ago. Can get you some more of the same if you have widths of each stripe part.

Won't be anymore than £20 i'm pretty sure.

I will get flamed for this but I think they look surprisingly good on this one:

A little sprinkling of Ford GT in there :-)

If I had £38k sloshing about I think I might have bought it already...

I like some stripes if the car is roofed and there's continuity from bonnet to boot. Some.
