Since my role as a consultant for Contact Centres was made redundant after 6yrs by my employer, for the last 6mths I've been doing this from my home office:-

Basically, I'm on the Service Desk until something better comes along... probably the most boring job I've ever done, and that's saying something considering I used to administer endorsements on life assurance policies when I first started my working life.
I have no signature.

There isn't really a picture for databases, which I find quite fitting, as a bunch of text is probably about as exciting as it should be ;)

So... I do database programming / occassionally .net development for the Uni of Dundee, in the area of medical research *yawns*

I help make sure that when iPads get flown from China to the west, if they fall from the sky, it's not the fault of the aircraft's engines (and these ones).

I am the brass instructor at Cults Academy in Aberdeen, so I teach all brass instruments (trumpet, trombone, tuba, French horn, etc, etc.....) to school children from P5 in Cults, Milltimber and Culter primary to S6 at cults academy. I also conduct the Cults academy intermediate concert band and the Aberdeen City junior brass band. I play 1st trumpet with the Aberdeen Sinfonietta too. :thumbsup I love doing what I do.

A lot of interesting jobs, oil and gas game seems quite popular.

Used to work with people to help people drink this sort of stuff.

Now I work with people who are into underwater exploration and vessels/rigs type stuff. Should really pay more attention.

I'm involved in the IT infrastructure side of things. Exciting stuff.

Hm.

I've worked for the same outfit for 19 years but on average haven't spent more than a year or two doing the same thing. Which helps.

It would bore people to tears to hear what I do in any detail. But right now the role I'm in is enjoyable, fulfilling, supports others, has global reach, can be delivered from home, pays the bills, is only occasionally stressful, and reports to one of the best managers I've had in my entire career.

Best leave it at that I think.
