1) Graeme took "The only one in Scotland" options list to a whole new level
2) When I ordered mine with MMC's, this was not what I expected !!
3) The Exige hybrid drive mechanism needed a little more development

Well... from the inside it's business as usual apart from new switches etc, but the difference in every other department was very apparent. The power delivery is just exactly what you would expect with low down grunt and an endless powerband. I want expecting much when i jumped in, but i was seriously mistaken! Those of you lucky enough to have ordered one of these won't be disappointed! It feels a little strange to sit in a cabin that looks largely the same as an S2 but have no other real noises except what sounds like a Ferrari exhaust note! Really can't wait to drive one again!!

ARGH YOU BUGGER!

Really enjoyed the test dive. Not what I expected at all.
Amazingly, considering it shares so much, it doesn't feel like the old Exige at all.
Quite a lot of cash though..

I really enjoyed the test drive too! A big thanks to Graeme! The car was very impressive, really quick, but incredibly composed. It has retained the lovely delicacy to the steering. It gets to silly speeds far to easily. Love it! Want it! ...off to buy a lottery ticket.

Don't post much on here, but have one on order (should be September). Had a good test drive with Graeme this morning, and now the wait is even harder!
Pretty much exactly what I wanted it to be - engine obviously big difference, and a proper noise from the exhaust, but on top of that it is very well damped, (not quite Evora-ish, but big step forward) and also feels like a more solid version of old car, while still keeping the good bits. Quite a bit wider when seen side by side, but still the right size for blasting round back roads.
Graeme even guided me into a new housing estate that wasn't built last time he was up, so got full range of conditions!

Haha, Craig must really like the smell of that rear end!
Not sure about the disproportionately narrow spoiler myself.

Clearly just a large night out last night, and catching up on twenty winks on the spoiler!

Following a test drive I have been reduced to a caricature of Kenneth Grahame's eponymous toad, sitting in the corner making engine noises and going parp parp.
The noise. That glorious noise. And the acceleration! And the noise...
Brum, whine, BRUMMM.

It's awesome.
The noise, the speed, the tractability and it's ability to just flow down the road.

to the guys at Murrays today for the warm welcome and the drive in the Exige, can confirm its moves the game on somewhat from the 1.8, equaled with how the chassis is setup with the new suspension does as others have said feel more Evora-like in how it runs down the B-roads.
Heated seats are an interesting addition.....which makes more sense with the roadster option and I think having that engine in a soft top guise very difficult to ignore.
Top tip ..... Front splitter is LOW to the ground so watch out when leaving the front of Murrays for those who are signing up on the dotted line.
Oh and the new V40 is a nice car for those who are looking for 5 seats!
