Hamilton move.

Post by tut » Wed Sep 05, 2012 6:49 pm

"Hamilton moving to Mercedes would also make a lot of sense in the context of his manager Simon Fuller, the man behind the Spice Girls and now David Beckham.
"Fuller is trying to position Hamilton as a major global star, like Beckham, and Mercedes is a much bigger global brand than McLaren."

Seems that egos, if not money, are all that matters.

Agree, Tut. Given his options for 2013, he should stay at McLaren if the decision is purely about sporting success...

Let's be fair to him, Mclaren say they will not be able to pay the same £10m due to the economic climate, and they also have to pay for their Merc engines next year.

Shades of rat and ship, how does one expect him to exist on less than £10m tax free, plus multi millions from sponsorship?

What is the world coming to?

When he was an up and coming GP2 star i was excited about him coming to F1. I think he is, at times, exciting to watch but my Mrs asked me today who I would like to see win the title out of anyone on the grid. I said anyone but Hamilton. Either its the way things are reported or he really is an ungrateful arrogant little oik. They say there's no smoke without fire.

Must admit I root for Jenson nowadays.

Putting that technical info from his team on Twitter did it for me.

If Hamilton does go, I'd love to see Paul Di Resta take his spot at Mclaren
S2 Elise ST (V6 spec)
Audi A4 Tdi (Shed Spec)
Discovery 3 (Wifes Spec)
