apparently they didn't use my locking wheel nut socket the last time it was in........

It must have grown legs and walked off then......maybe it was fed up of being at MMC for 5 months of the year!

Might be a stopid question but have you looked under the carpet in the boot?! i thought i had lost mine also but turns out that was where it was....

Did they change the engine without taking the wheels off?

HAd the carpet up and searched the garage last night.

Still last time it was used was before the "rough love" outing, so it may yet be found lost in the car somewhere..............

Really looking forward to spending a few more hours hunting for it
