Was out in one of these the other night and was impressed by how well this thing handled and got up to speed. Always thought of these as an airy fary hairdressers car ! This is the sport version less weight, more power, suspension settings etc.

The person driving it was a traffic cop right enough but still it did suprise me

I quite like the new TT. 80kgs lighter than the old model - breaking a trend there!

Yeah think there around 1400kgs now, only about double the weight of an Elise haha

spied one of the brand new TTs yesterday. In photos, I thought it looked pretty different to the old one, but not in the flesh. I am sure its great and all that and a million components have changed from the old one to the new, but it still looked like a facelift to me.

I seen a new shape yesterday aswell, was in a dark colour, kinda greeny blue, crap colour, your right it does look like they've basically just changed the lights !!!

I've driven the quattro sport and IMO it's the best of the old style. 3.2 V6 was just too soft and heavy up front.
Very capable and fine on faster roads but not up to the real twisties. I drove the same road back to back in the Exige there is a BIG difference.

saw a load of them at the ring in july, i prefer the new styling but i still wouldnt ever consider buying one. Ive driven the 225bhp quattro and although ok felt heavy and uninvolving.

Contemplating getting Verian's TT 225 chipped, but have not mentioned it to her yet.

The ECU would have to be sent down to Celtic Tuning in Cornwall, but they guarantee 278 hp and a corresponding increase in torque, and he would do it at a special price of £300.

It should save that in fuel alone in about 18 months.
