Worlds best known Village?

Post by tut » Sat Sep 23, 2006 1:44 pm

Just received a surprise postcard from the Stelvio Pass, Italy, signed by friends from previous years.

It was addressed to:-

tut
Old Deer
Scotland

Hard to complain about that sort of service.

Considering that Old Deer is one of the cheapest areas in Aberdeenshire, small Village 30 miles North of Aberdeen, prices seem to have taken off.

My friends accross the road sold their Manse last year for £425K, next doors small converted, 2.5 bed, School cottage sold for £175K two years ago, is now back on the market for £250K, and they have just turned down an offer of £265K. You can see it in the photo, just left of ours.

There is a new building project just opposite us, first three are now up and going for £230K, with another 12-22 to be built, depending on sales.

We paid £110K for tuttowers so lord knows what it is worth now.

However it is good to have our own long term postman.........

ps you can tell that I am not very good with Photoshop. My Elise is bigger than the Motorhome.

Twas the Old Deer School until 1986, when they closed it down and moved to a tatty new box in Stuartfield.

Their loss, our gain.
