Heading down to the borders and kielder forest in the Elise this weekend, having never been round this area before just wondered if anyone could suggest any good roads and possible venue for accommodation for Saturday night.Cheers

Most of the B roads around there are a bit of fun, and the minor road right through the forest is actually very well laid if not necessarily full of Elise-testing bends.

B6399 towards Newcastleton and B6357 from Bonchester Bridge both pretty good fun.

Also A6088 Hawick to A68.

Try B709 towards Langholm too, perhaps as part of your route over from Glasgow area?

Can't help on accom, although there is a holiday park with lodges etc right in the middle of Kielder which we have often considered.
