There is a little work but I would be competing against Iscar/Sandvik and Seco for work and they give it free if you buy their kit.

That and I would need a full bhuna edgecam licence and that could set me back £20k+

I remember when those two swear letters, HR, were introduced into Bristow Helicopters in '93.

Funnily enough that was the year that they medically retired me, so thankfully never had to live with that Department.

Back from the meeting

me:your breaching our terms and conditions, we are unhappy that you didn't consult us before the change.
HR: Do you have that in writing?
ME: Yes, hands over contract.
HR: we have something similar, but it's not double signed.
ME: and?
HR: we say it's more of a change in internal processes.
ME: eh? WTF!
HR: we will look into it.

/meeting ends

Reads like a horoscope :-)
And which have a habit of coming true ;-)

Although you and Stu aren't in quite the same line of work it might be worth talking to him ... you never know what opportunities are out there!

Cheers,
Robin
Was thinking on similar lines myself...

More architectural than oil and gas.

We got a reply back today, the jist is as expected. they don't beleive they are in breach and even if you are short of leaving there is nothing you can do about it.
