Jnr TSE Karting report

Post by Stu160 » Tue Sep 26, 2006 10:04 am

Hi All

We were at Golspie at the weekend, only a 440 mile round trip

Saturday practice went well, all very close with 2 groups ,Steven and another 3 out front ,followed by another 7 with Anne Marie keeping up with them,so looking good for the race on Sunday.

We were on the grid for warm up when Iain Anna and the kids turned up to give there support, when the ambulance was called away to a RTA so we had an hour wait till it was back

Heat 1

We were off the back of the grid,12th and 13th,with the 3 novices behind(15 in total, biggest grid of the year I think)and there was a pile up at the first corner,Anne Marie got through and got 5th ,Steven did not ,but got back up to take 12th place.

Heat 2

Mid grid start for both this time, and a good race for both ,Steven got a 3rd,Anne Marie 12th

Heat 3

Mid grid again, and Steven was 5th ,Anne Marie was 12th again. She is quick, but she has a problem with passing.

Final

It started raining 15 min before the final,so all the setup and practice all weekend was out the window,Steven had great race with the other Honda and won ,5th overall,so another win.Anne Marie was doing great,in 3rd place in her class,9th overall, but was shown the blue flag on the last lap,she lifted off ( :( )to let the leader pass, and the sneekey we laddy behind follow him through to take 3rd :x . She was in tears when she came in,what a shame .I brought her round when I told her I would buy a mint aero on the way home.

So quite a good weekend, both of them were a full second a lap quicker than last month, which is great. And no trips to the ambulance, which was even better.

Larkhall this weekend.

Great result again Stu, commiseration to AM, but the Mint Aero would help ;)

Good to see you all again, maybe next time we'll have Sean have a whizz round in his 8)
