Watch lovers?

First time I've had something interesting to post on this thread... This arrived yesterday. Pebble Smartwatch.

Kind of thought there would be more apps for it, but still liking the connectivity with my phone.

Planning on developing on it for a work project too.

Trying to pick something for my wifes 40th.

She has a Breitling Colt Ocean already so not looking for sports type watch, and nothing on a metal strap.

Current thoughts are a Cartier Santos on a black or brown croc strap.

Any other suggestions? Looking for something that will hold its money fairly well.

Cheers.

I have always thought the Santos looks a bit dated (but that may be because I seem to see mostly bi-metal ones). Looks nice on a leather strap though.

My other half has a Roadster which is a lovely looking thing.

Cheers JJ.
I never liked the Santos much until I saw it in the flesh, but it was XL on a rubber strap.

Will look up the roadster.

Just not clued up on wimmins watches at all!!!! Struggling.

Always had a real soft spot for the santos ever since my bro had a galbee a few years back.

Didn't realise Mrs Logan had a breitling... I quite fancy one for Mrs Bee as they're lovely and would make a nice his n hers

You're trying to upload an image larger than the resolution on your device can display on one screen. The forum doesn't scale images. FWIW, I'm looking at it on a reasonable (but not especially high) resolution PC monitor and I can see 5 watches.

Photobucket used to give you options of different sizes of image to display - can't see that option any more.

I've just ordered a Tissot T-Race 2013 MotoGP edition automatic, should be here in a couple of weeks.

Then I thought mmmm, should've asked on here for any opinions/experience with the T-race. So I'm a bit late but anyone got any experince of the T-Race?

Cheers,

Kenny

Just to update: After my search for a Speedy Pro I have ended up with a 2010 42mm Planet Ocean. I popped into a jewellers to have a look at the speedy and the Planet Ocean caught my eye.

I tried it on and liked the way it felt and looked so went ahead and bought it.

Very pleased with it. I'm sure I'll get speedy at some point though ;)

I also like the look of the Speedmaster Pro in pictures but decided on a Planet Ocean after seeing both in the flesh.

What colour scheme did you go for? Pics needed!
VX220 2.2 - Gone
BMW 335d Touring F31- Fastest car on the road
MINI Cooper 1.5- More fun than the BMW

Very different watches "in the flesh" with the speedie, especially on leather, being a lot more delicate.

Good thing / bad thing is that it means i need both

Planet Ocean is next on my "want" list
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?
