One last post ...90 + photos now received for calendar

Post by Karen » Thu Oct 24, 2013 5:19 pm

Hi All

I didn't mention the calendar in the subject header just in case it put you off reading the post!

It has been mentioned that my previous post within the "2014 calendar thread" may have been missed so this is one last plea for anyone else that wants to submit photos for the calendar, to do so.

As such we have only 10 or 11 different cars in the photos for you to choose from, so if there are any other photos that aren't already posted to give everyone a great variety, then please do post them up otherwise there won't be a 2014 calendar (unless you want to see Aston Martin's in there since a few of us have gone over to the dark side) :D

I'll look back at the thread next week to see if there are any more additions and update you on the state of play then. I have not done any work on pricing etc., for the calendar as I really didn't think there would be one so can't advise on that as yet.

Karen

Tut, that's pictures of a canine variety and not of dogging in case you were concerned you missed an interesting SE meet

Thanks everyone. I now have 90+ photos so will go ahead and get the voting sorted out and post it up when I have it ready. Prices etc., to follow shortly.

Thanks George, sitting here trying to work out how to put the voting together - I must really write myself some notes! Trial and error is the only way sometimes.

One from the summer, don't worry if it's too late, I'm sure the others are great as always.

Karen,

May be more complicated but how about putting the criteria based upon vehicle type. Therefore you could split it up into:
Elises S1
Elises S2
Exiges (S1 + S2.5)
Exiges (S2)
Evora
Esprit
Others Loti

with a slight weighting against the Elises as they are more of these which have been built and it is Scottish Elises.

Just a thought but can understand that it could cause backlash on the forum with the weighting/categorisation on the Lotus variants.

Okay, I have counted up what is what in all the pics and have the following:
Esprit = 5 pics
Exige S1 = 0 pics
Exige S2 = 24 pics
Elise S1 = 27 pics
Elise S2 = 17 pics
Evora = 18 pics
211 = 1 pic
Various = pics that have more than 1 car or parts of cars = 12 pics

I am happy to put them in separate polls and limit the amount of pics you can choose in each poll which will ensure that the calendar has a great selection of cars but want to get some more reaction to what folks think as setting up the polls, saving pics is time consuming and once I set it up, I don't want to be changing things. Any one against the above suggestions?
