recommend supplier for office renovation - glass wall + door

Post by scott_e » Thu Jul 10, 2014 8:45 am

Morning.

In the process of acquiring additional space for work. Asked Asplanned (Dundee) to quote for a glass partition + door for our board room and a standard plaster board / lockable room. I know Asplanned and trust them but I am unlikely to get the budget for their quality finish. More of a worry is a company next door asked a well known large local joinery company to partition an office the end result was the walls wobbled when the doors closed and it was taken down and rebuilt by Asplanned correctly.

Any who , can you recommend someone for an alternative quotes ? (nice finish wanted , no wobbles guaranteed !)

Suspended ceiling already in place.
Fully Glazed (single) Partition ceiling height 2250mm with 1 full height glass door & ironmongery to form boardroom.
Solid room partition - 7ft x 7ft with 1 full height solid door & ironmongery + Painted.
Drill hole & provide Intumescent mastik for cabling.

Thanks
Scott

I think you might just have to pony up in the end and go with Andy - everyone i know who has veered off course has regretted it!

Where you guys based?

Andy mentioned he knew you well Dave :D. We played footie together for many years.

I want to go with him , he did 18000 Sq Ft for GFI that looks great !

Based in Tech Park, software centre.

Thinking if I get a few quotes that are close then i can swing the asplanned sale.

Thats how we found Andy, when we moved into the vision building, the room was a shell and Andy had provided us with a few things before GFI acquired us as HoundDog, so he got the job for the whole of the vision fit out, which now includes the current office move into the much bigger unit and also their Edinburgh offices.

Andy is a great guy, we recently bought a table from Andy, albeit it was a used one he had lying about and it was for £30 - Allthings is not proving to be a huge customer for him so far, especially not now we are in District 10!
