A couple of the Apple fan boys in the office laughed at the size Galaxy S5 when I got it. "Why would you buy such a big phone?" they asked.
Both have now ordered an iPhone 6!!
I can only guess that having a half eaten fruit etched on the back, somehow makes it appear smaller

Experience is something you get, just after you need it!!

Aye, got a stern FU from them when speaking to an online advisor, which kind of made my mind up to stick with Vodafone and see what the 4G will be like.
2 year contracts just seem ridiculous in this day and age of ever evolving tech, what happened to 18, that was manageable at least...
Part of me wants to stop being such a gadget apple fanbois, but right now there aren't many pleasures in life, so might as well have a nice phone, even if it does look like i have a tablet strapped to my forehead when making a call!

Dave, give 3 a try. They'll do a 12 month sim of you're buying the phone up front, not sure about a phone contract though. Their 3G coverage is night and day compared to Vodafone, in fact the coverage is vastly better full stop.

P.S. I downsized from £99 Chinese Big Foot (6" screen) to a Moto-G ('cos the other phone broke) which is probably iPhone5 sized? I miss the big screen, but I have old-man's eyes ... with my glasses on the smaller screen is as useless as the big screen was - main difference for me is I now use my kindle to read rather than Chinese Big Foot because reading on the smaller display all the time is too much of a PITA.
You of course probably use your telephone 24x7 and I would expect the bigger screen will improve pretty much everything you do, except (a) fitting in pockets - might not be a problem given how empty your pockets are

(b) looking like Dom Joly when making a call

I have a 4s. Love it. What's an iPhone 6?!
My deal ends in November so I hope to wield some consumer might and bag a bargain. 24 mths is fine. I intend to be in business another 15-20 yrs!
As with our computers and cars, happy to take a runout deal on last year's model. iPhone 5 going cheap anywhere?!

HTC Something or other here that I've had for 5 years. The rest of the family have iPhones so was thinking of upgrading to an iPhone as it probably makes things a bit easier so they all tell me. Now how it makes things easier I'm not exactly sure (family sharing centre, iCloud, etc apparently) I do have an original iPad that I use for work so was thinking about getting a new mini so don't know if this iPhone 6 Plus might be a better choice. I don't really use my HTC much as a phone (have a work BB) so not worried about the huge size of the 6+.

I'm very pleased with my efforts to lash together an iPhone, an Android Tablet and a Wintel laptop in support of my business.
So I wouldn't be influenced by interoperability, Kelvin (though I know you well enough to believe you wouldn't be...).
Add in an iPad and the kids' Android tablets (Tesco Hudl) and I'd say we have a pretty broad IT estate! Soon to be joined by a Linux server too, when I finally have to retire WinXP from our main box. The hardware will live on.
