Which Robert Reid?

Post by tut » Wed Oct 11, 2006 3:33 pm

Just found this in my archives.

Is this likely to be the late Richard Burn’s co-pilot/navigator. I know that he used to have an S1 Elise.

dont think so tut,

that guy chopped in his 240r with a little over 1400 miles on it for a demo vantage. the 240r has since blown two chargers with its new owner. cheers ed

Yeh, I think the guy with the mint 340r that is in MMC's showroom bought the Exige once it had a custom trim and red strips fitted by Lotus

Bit of a car nut Graeme at MMC said this was the 8th car he has bought from him

Over the years, although it is childish, I love it when these anally retentive owners see my car, and watch the expression on their faces.

Of course it does not apply to anybody on here, or to the friends that I have made around the world, but I have been invited or turned up at many Marque events, TVR (the worst), Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo, etc, along with dealers of similar Marques, and I do not realise at the time, just breeze in as an enthusiast, shorts and bare feet being normal formal dress, that they are probably too gobsmacked to say anything.

I only learn about it later second hand, which reduces me to a tearful wreck, but at least I get the satisfaction that if we get on track together, tis a different matter.

Long live S_E, if you are enthusiastic and enjoy driving your car, then welcome.

Yup pretty sure he was Tech Manager at RBS, string of exotica moved form 360 to the cup. "Sold it and bought a Aston as it was too fast" according to a saleman ...

I am sure I saw a Aston with a reg **1742 which corresponded to his MSN login.

yeah Robert used to be a client of mine, even got a signed copy of his game he did for the PS2, has his own company as Lawrence says in Perthshire - one of the nicest genuine guys you'll meet!

Once told me that he had to change his mobile once every couple of months, as so called 'friends' used to leak his number to the press!
