Claire and myself were discussing over Christmas that there will be no 'resolutions' made, in place of that we would be making a 'to do' list of what we want to achive and do in 2014,

Here are a few of my goals.

1. Get out on the bike more and compete in at least 1 gravity enduro event.
2. Win the championship (SMRC) however attainable or not, you need to dream big!
3. Go camping more
4. Buy another motorbike
5. Go on holiday in the summer with Claire (booking that this weekend before I get my balls chopped off!)
6. Do at least 1 charity sporting event.
7. Build a garage
8. Landscape the garden now the house is finished
9. Get Claire on track with my e30
10. Do a skydive

:-)

so... this didn't work out so well for me in 2014, managed to tick a few boxes though...

1. Get out on the bike more and compete in at least 1 gravity enduro event. nope
2. Win the championship (SMRC) however attainable or not, you need to dream big! - managed 4 races, 4 second places 2nd in the overall championship, until my stupid bike accident.
3. Go camping more - nope
4. Buy another motorbike - did this - almost died thanks to zee dutch
5. Go on holiday in the summer with Claire (booking that this weekend before I get my balls chopped off!) - missed this due to falling off my bike 1 week before we were meant to fly
6. Do at least 1 charity sporting event. - didn't manage this due to being in hospital after said accident.
7. Build a garage - not quite managed to build the funds for this yet.
8. Landscape the garden now the house is finished - started this the day before my accident.
9. Get Claire on track with my e30 - Positive - claire drove my e30 at ingliston, she loved it, and managed to spin it and do a big smokey burnout! lol
10. Do a skydive - not been able to do this either, will need to recover a bit further 1st

I forgot there is a cycling contingent on here

Not much to it tbh, I used to cycle maybe once a fortnight through summer 2 years ago, but since having the baby, I only made it twice last year.
I'm particularly unfit, and overweight.
It's only 5-6 miles to work, so it's manageable, but is roughly 30% downhill, 30% uphill, and all on roads which is kinda off-putting.

I use a hardtail Giant Rincon from 2006/7, which I've owned since new, and has probably only managed around 1,000 miles. I did fit some road type tyres, but they are rather wide as I didn't really research enough before buying them :blackeye

Once I've been doing it for a month or so, and built up a bit of leg strength I plan to move on to my hybrid bike, a 2012 Charge Scourer. It is geared such that I can't use it straight away, but it's much faster and looks 8)

If I can keep it up, I'd like to alter my route to make it maybe 3 or so miles longer, and pick up some of the river side cycle paths in Dundee, and maybe even try for something a little outside of Dundee !

so for 2015

1 - build new house
2 - sell old house
3 - do more mountain biking. 2 endurance events and the training that goes with it
4 - lose another 1/2 stone by summer. might be able to see my long lost ab then!
5 -get at least one epic west coast elise drive in early in spring. if i don't, its days could be numbered
6 - do a load of motorbike td's

much more manageable this year i think :D

Woof!
Haha. Or an undocumented scratch goal. I love the fact that dogs are so hopefully optimistic when they meet other dogs (mostly). Be more dog is a great principle to live your life by.

I also love the first 10 minutes of each new day when Boris (our flat coated retriever) is sitting at the foot of the stairs wagging his tail off waiting on me. It's like he hasn't seen me for months.

My only real goal for 2015 is to get to the bottom of all the ill health I've been suffering from for the last two years or so. I currently only have one fully working arm for reasons the Doc can't quite work out why! Mumble.

Well I'm no dietician, but common sense says loss of 14lb over 12 mths sounds particularly sustainable - which is usually the challenge :-)

Progress on growl is good. I had to stop the mother in law's puppy stealing food off the coffee table ... growled at her each time she approached the plate and she backed off :-) I wonder if it will work with recruitment consultants :-)

Cheers,

1) Train Khan to sleep on his mum's bed and not mine.
2) Train Khan to wake mum up at night and not dad to go out for a pee.
3) Train Khan to prefer beef to lamb.
4) Train Khan to lick smaller people's faces without knocking them over.
5) Train Khan to stop rubbing his goolies on Dad's leg when he is sitting in his chair.
6) Train Verian in how to use the AeroPress to make my coffee.
7) Train the boys not to phone at 0300 wanting money TXFR into their Account.
8] Train dad to change his track suit more often to keep mum happy.
9) And lastly, finally get around to selling spare Viagra pills on eBay.
