Yeah, been on auto trader... First one's description gives me vibes like the fraserburgh one. He's called up the seats as suede twice and leather once... Hmm!
Second one looks alright, higher mileage than I was hoping to be honest. Still, looks an alright example though! Will have a think about it.
Third one has a ... Unique ... Colour scheme! slightly over budget though! :(
Effort appreciated again!

Claws... That would mean not getting another car... :o

Main Lotus dealer, good price, good spec, immaculate condition, what's not to like?

Third one is also on the wrong front wheels (narrower Elise ones) and is missing the splitter...

First one, I don't think the descriptions that bad for a non specialist. The seats are suede with leather sides and the car has the usual suede dash, understandable.

I said hi on your tech thread in seloc. :welcome

It's an Elise type housed in the manifold SC conversion without intercooler and not the factory fitted exige type charger. I like it a lot, but it's been for sale for ever and is pricey for a converted N/A car. Are they still a main dealer, know they used to be?

I know the others have mentioned it but do consider a trip to MMC. Yest they are a main dealer but tell them we sent you - there's no hard sell, they'll have lots for you to look at and they might be able to work something out for you.

Cheers pete! Weather depending, I will try and come down this Sunday with tut... Really like the red one they have, but it looks to be too pricy and if it's been modded... It might be hard to insure. Anyway, will chat to them and if nothing else will give me a look at a decent car!

Welcome :welcome

Have a look on www.motors.co.uk . Sometimes the odd one appears there and nowhere else. There is one listed for sale in Turiff.

I would really try and stretch to an updated dash if at all possible. Harness hole seats will also help come resale.

The sprint model is well spec'd although not a fan of the colour combination. I noticed that TonyKL on SELOC (Sharky on here?) has been talking about chopping in his sprint Exige for a v6. Might be worth pm'ing him. Some on here will know him from previous French Frolics.

Good luck!

The one at tuffif has quite a few mods, Inc a 280hp kit, dubious/incorrect driving lamps and was for sale for around a year in Glasgow ending up slightly less, looks like they've punted it to another dealer.

Dash thing is personal preference, it would have to be an earlier suede one for me unless it was one off the latest cars.

Is it not just the stage 3 exhaust that has been added? Everything else is a Lotus factory fit option I think so shouldn't be any problems to get decent insurance.

Would give Brandon a call - I've bought three Exiges from MMC and each one has been great - there are often other cars not on the website that could be of interest of you. :thumbsup

Will definitely give them a call then Sparky... I was under the impression the 260 upgrade was also a post-factory option. All the better if not...

WRT insurance, there are some lotus specialists out there who can be quite a bit cheaper than the usual suspects. Check out the insurance section of the forum. Some of these insurers don't seem to mind a few modifications too much. Some of us have also found Aviva to be fairly reasonable the past few years.

Spoke to CraigM yesterday Andrew, asked him to keep a look out for any suitable cars in your price bracket. Shame that the red one isn't, he said it is a real belter.

I would not over worry reference Insurance when it comes to a factory car having an ECU upgrade, it would not come into it if you had to claim. Most owners had the N/A remapped to change the VTEC point.
