looking for some advice, i have to import a previous uk vehicle back into the uk from the isle of man.
Apparently it's a v55/5 form i need as after a year out of thr country it is classed as an import again. i have most of the ins and outs sorted, however, not very happy about having to send all my identification and details in an envelope to the dvla.
(they want my passport and my plastic driving licence) plus original of mot and insurance.
Can this not be verified at post office now that they have shut the dvla local offices ?
Apparently the only one is now in swansea ?
What happens if the want to inspect my vehicle ?
Surely i can't be expected to take it all the way down to swansea ?
Arrgghhhh
if i'd done this in 2013, it would have taken half an hour at the local office.
Looking like a bit of a nightmare.

Yeah the v55/5 is all the dvla documentation you need.
Just not very happy at having to send them my passport and driving licence through the post as I.D.
What does what i look like have to do with whether a bike has a right to be here or not ?
Used to be half hour exercise.
