Random Wiper question...

Post by Jamie Satriani » Tue Aug 25, 2015 5:00 pm

How do you guys feel the single wiper is able to cope with fairly heavy rain on the Elise?, I have had a couple of comments from peeps saying things like " i would never have a car with just 1 wiper" after converting my M100 to a single setup, albeit ive made it park in the middle but it can be parked either side with a slight adjustment, anyone have issues?.

The single wiper on the Elise works fine Jamie, I think that most of us would prefer it to a double system as the single swipe just seems to suit the car/windscreen.

Works fine especially if you get the upgrade, seems a bit softer and fits the curve of the window better. I still have a old one knocking about if anyone wants it.

Mine had the screen wash jets fitted on the wiper blade, even better.

The Ultima wiper manages to clear the centre 12 inches of the screen. No benefit whatever to the driver or passenger. MOT tester just laughed and shook his head, but passed it. Better not drive it in the rain. :D

Bosch aerotwin and Rainx screen polish are a good combo.

I recently changed my Tesco flat blade with 3 holes drilled and Citroen AX spray bar for a Bosch 609 Renault Espace with Spray Bar (on S2 wiper arm). Basically a 24 inch Bosch wiper with a neater spray bar attached than the old Citroen on, works a treat.
