New town runaround

Post by tonyg » Sun Sep 25, 2016 2:38 pm

In an Aberdeen full of grey and black Audis, BMWs and Mercs the Lotus sticks out a mile (which i like).
Was taking the town runaround up for a service the other week with no intentions of replacing it until i saw the one in the showroom - had to have it.

Also got 40 months interest free credit :)

Really enjoyed using my 27 year old 944 S2 for commuting last week. Despite being a mid metallic blue, it turns lots of heads and seems to get lots of positive attention, and the seats are oh so comfy..

Since I usually use our Panda (dark metallic blue) everyday, I'd kinda forgotten what attention on the morning commute was like.

A great break from the normal, and I feel a little sad in knowing that I really have to sell the Porsche and keep the Panda...

Love a yellow Lotus. A lotus needs a nice bright colour IMO :D

Personally I'm not a fan of Aberdeen's monochromatic car-colour-chart,

However, unless you are buying brand new, try buying a the car you want with the spec you want, within your budget in anything other than black/white/inbetween!

That's how I ended up with a fridge freezer white car, the very last colour I wanted, it looks good IMO, but its fairly dull, but there really wasn't anything else that ticked my boxes in a different colour.

Tony - new car looks mad. makes the Elise look like a 'normal colour' :thumbsup
