Xscape

As my adrenaline was still running, surely I got enough thrills on Saturday as a pax but maybe not, I went snow boarding last night at Xscape in Braehead. So today really bad hair day - two days wearing a helmet - don't think I should have said that on this forum.

Has anyone else been to Xscape it is a great facility to get rid of the rustyness skiing or snow boarding or just trying to improve your skills, which my son tells me that I need to badly?

I'm planning to go there for some lessons soon. Going skiing in Klosters over New Year with a couple of friends who grew up in Switzerland. I ain't been skiing since my early teens and only went twice, so really need to learn before I make a fool of myself at Klosters!

I was thinking about organising a tobagg/toboggin/ sledging event at Xscape if anyone was interested.

I'll post up another message in a more suitable location at lunchtime for anyone who fancies it.

I might pop along sometime this week, should be cheaper off-peak too

I've been to the Tamworth snowdome and it's pretty expensive for what it is. It was around £20 per hour and compared to the £5 for 2 hours I pay to use the dry slope here it's a bit much!

Pretty impressive setup - went in to watch a mate who works there one friday night doing the freestyle stuff - strange standing on the balcony with a lager watching folk ski!

My mate (who also needs to learn) has been on the phone to X$cape today. The prices are ridiculous! Would probably be cheaper waiting til we're in Switzerland to learn to ski!!

It can be dear but you can pick your times. On a Sunday night you get three hours for £30 which is not a lot really I don't think. I have never had lessons there but am sure it was £27 per hour if you were in a group.

Its great fun anyway
