Good deal!?!

Post by boyner » Tue Nov 14, 2006 6:21 pm

Graeme from MMC was on the blower today with a very tempting offer which goes along the lines of - New unregistered 06 Exige 190, sport pack and AC.. Basically the offer is 4K off the list price, means 30K for a brand new Exige..

What's everyones thoughts on that, would it be worth buying or are you still better off buying a used car??

Cheers :D

I'd say thats a good deal. Though bear in mind you'll probably lose £6k on that in the first year.

Will still cost you £10K to run it for the first 2 years and you never know when they will bring out a new elise / exige meaning that the value drops off even more.

There is an Exige S with 2.8K on it on piston heads for £32k, which means you can get it for £31K, Supper charger for a grand, not a difficult question for me.

Except she says I have to buy half a house and am not allowed to waste money on silly cars, I like flats anyway.

does seem like a good deal, although i will never buy new again, unless of course i win the lottery! You should get a good finance deal though which might make it all work for you?!

I currently drive an E46 M3, so only £10k in two years sounds good to me!!
I'd still buy used unless you're going to keep it forever and being first owner means something to you
Doesn't really mean anything to me to be honest - other than you have all the little annoying running in problems to solve for someone else when you sell it!!..

This is something that i was thinking about - the S's seem to be getting cheaper all the time, disproportionately so when compared with the standard Exige?!?!

Ach fcuk it, who knows what to do.... :? :P

I'd definitely go for the Exige S. I prefer new or newish cars if possible, but for that price I couldn't resist the supercharger! 8)

Stick some info on the M3 in the Classifieds - there's a guy at my work been talking about one. and he just needs some gentle persuasion to take the plunge...
