White van man Verses Vx220!
(also posted on Vx220.org)
On the way to Edinburgh this morning I was stuck in slow moving rush hour traffic on the M90 just before the Forth bridge.
I was half way alongside a white Transit van when he decided to indicate right and move straight across. At first I thought I must have been in his blind spot so I gave a toot on the horn, but he keeps on coming and forces me up onto the central reservation. Still the driver seems unaware and refuses to acknowledge me.
I got Sara to take down his number and inform plod. But guess what? As there was no accident there is nothing they can do!
I'm pretty sure if I were doing 75 in a 70 they would take action though!
Moral of the story:- Take care out there guys and girls! It would appear we are pretty vulnerable in our wee plastic tubs especially at this time of year.

Bloody white van men!
An Elise owning colleague at work has just informed me that he crashed his 03 plate 111S the other night. He hit a patch of pine needles and lost the back end, wasn't hammering it along or doing anything silly. He's registered here but doesn't post he himself was fine though.
be carefule out there dudes.

2 of my 3 accidents were women pulling out without seeing me, horn never worked then either. I think those same people probably think that's for when I'm on my bike infront of them an they want past!lotustype116 wrote:(also posted on Vx220.org)

I do more miles in the white van than the exige, most of them 3" off peoples bumpers, whilst drinking IrnBru and reading the daily sport.

They dish out verbal warnings to Elise drivers based on the say so of Miriam and Mildred types in Micras or whatever in the run recently but not when a van forces you off the road?
Huh.
