Finally, a dry day :)

Post by simon » Fri Dec 16, 2005 10:13 pm

And I was off work today too so I finally got to use my new tyres in the dry with a chilly run up to Glenshee.

For anyone with an S2 thinking about buying Toyos, I'd forget it and try the new Yoko AD07s instead. They seem to give more feel as to what's going on than T1-Rs and feel a lot more solid. The squidgyness on turn-in is completely gone and I immediately felt comfortable with them.

The real test will be at KH in a few months so hopefully they'll be good there too :D

Nice pic Si. I was off today as well. Unfortunately I don't have an Elise so had to make do with trailing around the Overgate doing Chrimbo shopping

Not tempted by another?
I was out following your old car last Sunday. Lee's still enjoying it though he said it's not far off a year since he bought it so he was toying with the idea of an Exige :P I think he'll keep the Elise though.

Got them from MMC Ed for about £394.
Fitting cost me £120 in the end after getting my bolts drilled out and replaced.
The discount info is here Iain:

Yeah, sure am, but trying hard to resist. There were a whole list of reasons for selling my S1 125 Sport, none of them too bad, but just added up.
Recently I have been toying with the idea of buying a really cheap S1 (£7k mark) so that I could go on track and not feel too bad if I gave it the odd scrape. Also it would mean that I didn't have too much cash tied up in it and wouldn't feel as guilty if it sits in the garage for a week or two unused (I have a company car). So, in summary you never know!
Cheers

P.S.
I must be thinking about it or I wouldn't be looking in here :D

Well it was after paxing with you in 2003 that "made" me go out and purchase an elise the very next day. So you never know
