Sh*teing it :)

Post by Shug » Wed Dec 14, 2005 11:17 am

Well, tomorrow I go into hospital to have a plate taken out of my jaw...

For those who don't know, a few years back, I managed to get a broken jaw in Aberdeen for the heinous crime of walking home from the pub. I've since had a variety of plates in my lower jaw, left over from the operation to set it.

One of these has been regularly getting infected, so I'm finally (after a 5 month wait) going in to have it removed tomorrow.

It's just a day op, but I have 'issues' with hospitals, so not exactly brimming with excitement!!!

Dunno how long I'll be out of the loop, so don't expect immediate answers to PM's (and if they put me on the same painkillers as when they put them in, don't expect any sense for a couple of weeks!)

Play nice while I'm gone  8)

Hospitals are never really nice places. I was in rosshall last week picking my bro up after a minor op, and all the sad and upset folk sitting around makes you realise its good to be healthy.
Get well soon :D

At first when I hear about this I was all against it, but then I realised that Shug is my friend and if he wants to be a woman then that's OK with me.

best of luck big 'ane. It's no where near as sore getting them out as it is having them in.

Enjoy the nurses (briefly that it may be), and enjoy the painkillers!

Oh, and remember the 20p piece for dropping on the floor so the nursey has to bend over & pick it up for you!

Cheers chaps.

All better now, actually back at work for a couple of days to sort out the last-minute pre-chrimbo sh*te.

All went fine, no hassles - I've just been keeping quiet over the past week, as I've gor zero energy. Just gone back onto solid food and there's only so much sustenance the body can take from soup!!

Catch y'all soon 8)
