hand held computer help ??

Post by hiscot » Fri Jan 19, 2007 4:57 pm

hi I dont know much about computers but i am thinking about getting sat nav and also thinking about oil temp gauge in the elise and thourght maybe a windows type phone or a hand held windows computer to do both jobs
I use a dta S60 and real time info display has all the info I require so if I fit a usb socket in the dash will a windows hand held or phone work as a display , do they have a usb socket ? are they fast enough ect

the info i want is lambda oil temp ect

it would be easier to wire the oil temp into the ecu then run a cable down the sill

PDA's dont tend to use XP. There are some micro computers available from the likes of expansys... not cheap.

I think you can get a cheep tablet pc for about £600..

the alternative is to find software written for a PDA.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....
