Had a half day off this afternoon. Noticed the big yellow ball in the sky and the nice blue background behind it and thought I'd make use of the afternoon off and go a wee blast to blow the cobwebs off.
First time I've had the roof off since xmas day I think . . . was great fun!

Went up past Balloch and turned off onto the MOD road we did on that last fish&chips run last year. Drove back over the MOD road, through Balloch, out towards Drymen, over to Fintry. Stopped for a quick (soft)drinky then headed back over the campsies road and into Lennoxtoun, then back into Glasgow via Strathblane and Milngavie. Loved every minute of it. Forgot how much of a smile the second cam puts on my face!!

Also forgot how amazing that MOD road was . . . those big sweeping dips and corners are fantastic!
After safely returning to drop my friend off in Paisley tonight without a single mishap during the country roads blast, I did the most stoopid thing on the way back from Paisley to Elderslie

Going round a corner, someone wouldn't let me into outside lane to avoid some parked cars, so instead of being sensible and holding back to drop in behind, I stuck the foot down, foolishly hit 2nd cam on the corner, roads have started to ice up a wee bit (that's my crap excuse!) and . . . .woops . . .

back end out to the right . . . corrected it . . . a little too much . .. back end out to the left . . . thankfully missed parked cars . . . wobbled a couple more times and let the steering correct itself . . . car straight again!

Car behind had dropped right back in shock!

Was kinda fun, and not as scary as expected since it was only at low speeds (thankfully!). I quite enjoy these wee "moments" now!

Just glad I arrived home in one piece!! Looking forward to Mr. Walshy teaching me how to handle these things properly. Must keep reminding myself not to switch cam on a fecking corner!!!
