God i always thought that "heated windscreen" just refered to the heaters blowing on it...does this have electrical circuitry through t he substance of the glass?
...wow

I like the concept of the heated screens in the fords, but find the metal filaments a constant distraction. Under street lights, with on coming head lights, and in bright sun, I find I can see the filaments, and would prefer not to have them. IMHO.

yeah, i had it on my old mondeo - fantastic.
my vectra on the other hand, has the heated windscreen in the spec and a button for it, however when you press it, the heaters just blow on the windscreen on full! - dont really know what i expected from a VX TBH!?
Anyway, do Fords have the patent on it or something? - for a while they were the only cars that I knew of that had it.
Well excluding all the big fancy cars I dont get a chance to drive!

Never thought of that - doesn't it smell?
BTW - Caterhams have a heated screen for the same porpoise as the 340R

Don't want a dolphin but a quick clear screen would be nice!
My plan would be do it on the insurance and have a chat with the fitters, see if I can supplement the cost and get one.
