Actually, I believe it has been proven that you can drive an Elise with only 3 wheels. Sure someone else will know exactly who it was but I think it was Ricky someone?

So, Derek, would you be keeping the current wheels when you get the new black ones? I'd be interested to see what they look like on a titanium elise. If they look good and you're selling them, I may be interested . . .

Are they considerably lighter than the standard 111R wheels?

If I get new wheels, I'l be keeping them for track use, and retaining the standard wheels for everyday road use, hopefully getting the best of both worlds.

Not sure about the weight saving, but to a man of my talent, I'm sure I'm unlikley to notice any significant difference.
