Casino Royale

Post by gorrie » Fri Mar 23, 2007 8:36 pm

Not seen the film yet.... so decided to buy it on DVD today.

Went on to Amazon for a look... RRP of £22.99 !!! What....?? They are selling it for £14.98 just now so thought about ordering it.

Then, I was out and about today... saw that HMV had an offer if you spent more than £30 they were selling you Casino Royale for £10.98...hmmm

Anyway, popped in to ASDA to get the Easter Eggs for the little guys.... Casino Royale, £7. Two Disc Collectors Edition..... "yoink"

How can they do it for that price??? Anyway, just thought I'd post in case anyone is thinking of buying it.

Andy.

Sainsburys also had it for £8 - I reckon it is one of those "loss leader" numbers - they can afford to sell the dvd cheap, as people will also buy other stuff when they are there. Gets peeps "through the door".

I picked mine up in Costco for £6.99 must be something the studios are trying? Or either that trying to distance themselves from blu-ray discs?

I just watched it tonight... better than I was expecting actually. Only problem is my wife now fancies Daniel Craig.
