Wheel refurbishment who does them?

Post by lutonpilot » Wed Apr 18, 2007 6:48 pm

Hi folks I have a front wheel which was bumped by the last owner and it is running out of true approx. 1.5 millimetres it is in very good condition apart from that. Can it be fixed and if so who does the deed?
John.

John, I was about to PM you re: your message to me.
I think it would be more economical to get it refurbed rather than buy another one...

There's a place on e-bay (blackpool) that offers a swap- yours for a set of refurbed ones. Looked quite a good deal, but i'm too lazy to find the link for you

(well 'twas a good deal for me cos all mine are shot and bent :? )

Ok folks thanks for the advice and info. I will look into the various possibilities. Still interested in your wheels Ross if you have them as my brother is needing a set for his car plus I cant afford to have mine off the road. I could use the bike I suppose.

I would not touch them. They goosed my Esprit wheels. BIG STYLE. Not recommended. :thumbsdown

Sorry to hear that Stew.

They have refinished 2 sets of wheels for me now, although my requirements were very straightforward. Not sure if I'd give them a "fancy" set to do, but I am happy enough with the results for £40 per corner including tyre re-fit and balance.

Simon A has had decent results there too I believe.
