Short term Fezza

Post by mac » Thu May 10, 2007 2:00 pm

Where's the best place to get one for the day - Rio? (not the city Dave!)

Lad in the work is looking to get hold of one for his son's birthday - so he can take him out for a wee drive and have his photo taken in it.

Cheers

They do a 328 for about £400 and a 355 spider for about £500 for 1 day from memory.

The 3 day weekend packages are not too bad... I was gonna hire their Boxster S last year for a weekend, but decided to save the money and put it towards the 'Liz instead.

http://www.rioprestige.com/bg/pricelist.php

Had a quick look, was thinking about Zonda for the day until i seen the price £2750 per day

Keonigsegg is the same price.

I know it goes on car value but are these really worth 3 x the amount of a F430 spyder or a Gallardo? I am tempted at £900 for the day. I take it they would have a tracker fitted and be able to monitor you driving/speed etc?

Doesn't that kind of money get you a basic membership in one of those supercar clubs like P1? :scratch

they are giving you a £300,000 car for £3000 a day. they would dfntly not want to get back the car worth £150,000.
i've seen that silver zonda in aberdeen once. the following day i also got to see the photo of the same car on evening express... with a parking ticket on it.
like u said... very very tempting. thank god i cant afford to hire it for the day.
so if u hire it for a day... pop by my place for a pax.

Maybe, but you still need to pay to hire the car, don't you?

To get the Zonda and the likes you first of all must be a 'member' of Rio, which costs.... dunno how much though.

However, if you are a member of RBS you get a 10% discount.

The Rio owner posts on Pistonheads quite a bit. Maybe contact him through there and get a 'deal'

Graham Brunton

.... does the Ferrari experience at Knockhill with a newish red 360.
A phonecall to Graham via KH would probably get the young lad a ride round the track for a lot less money than a RIO hire? :scratch

Alternatively (or additionally) get him to pop over on thurs 17th to the Dakota hotel, glasgow, next to euro central @ 7.30. A few folk off the Ferrari Forum are meeting up for a nosey at cars and a chat. Some 355s, 360s, a 430 and a Lambo Murciallago seem to be up for it at the mo. If its dry (spot the hairdresser!!) I will be there in the 355GTB and would be more than happy to take him for a wee run.
