Mac

Which spelling would you like in the Database, your McAteere or Mandy's McAteer?

Yeah - I noticed that I had added an extra E at the end of my name - and that the edit button was missing

Mandy's has the correct spelling

Sounds like fun.
Would like to be considered as one of the 7's for the track too.

Mac

I have just changed rights so that you can edit your own.

Dave

Put your details in the Database. Selection for the track will be taken from those entries.

If you are able to provide the Marquee then that would be great, and fine with Stuart.

Stuart just called me with an update on his meeting with the Lotus Club this morning, and we have decided to go with the following format.

We will now have two track sessions, one for the Classic Loti and one for S_E.

Bad news is that these will have to be cut back to 20 mins for each Group, good news is that I can now put 35 cars on track for the session, and at present there are 33 in the Database that wish to go on.

We will make the most of the 20 mins though, straight out on track in line then back in on the chequered flag. If I can sweet talk an extra 5 mins on the basis that we will be a crowd pleaser, with what looks like racing, but is really just showboating, so much the better Trackdays are usually limited to 25 cars on track at a time max, so this is a newbie.

It does mean however that we will not be taking Joe Public passengers, but of course we can take our own friends/families.

All Lotus's on the day will be lined up and showing in the car park overlooking the Hairpin. The Lotus Club will be setting up a large Marquee that will have show cars in covering the 60 years of Lotus cars. I think that will be around a dozen, including a couple of Jim Clark's cars, so though I do not yet know our involvement, I would expect at least an Elise and an Exige, and hopefully a 340R. These would be display cars though and would not go on track. Scott's Marquee would be alongside.

The remainder of both the Classic cars and ourselves would be lined up single file in the car park, as Stuart put it, as far as the eye can see

As regards Saturdays events, I believe that we are welcome to join in with Club Lotus, who are meeting up at KH around 0900, and then following their usual format for the Duns join up, and a road run in the afternoon. The same applies to dinner in the evening at Paxton Hall, but I do not have details yet.

Now for the part that feels as if I am organising tuttowers again........

Friday is taken up with practising and qualifying for Saturdays races. These will be part of the Scottish/UK racing series, but also for two Classes of Ferraris that have their own race series. These are all cars that are there for the weekend, and will be running until 1700.

He has offered me the track from 1800-2000, usual tut towers format, not free as they have to cover their costs for the whole set up, but as low as he can go. If I can get 50 cars this would be for £40, so well below normal.

However, considering the number of cars and drivers, exhibitors etc that will be on site for the weekend, it could be a great outing for S_E, and this would be an opportunity to take out passengers.

Sounds as if we could have a great track session with a good social occasion as well, as after watching last years DVD, there will be some fantastic cars there along with lots of interesting enthusiasts.

I will put an extra column in the Database for this, so again feel free you 7 and Exige owners to put it forward to your own groups.

I think that I have covered everything, but please feel free with any suggestions.

Of course Andy.

Fortunately just discovered my non deliberate mistake.

Paxton Hall is actually a "long term residential care for the elderly in Cambs" , http://www.paxtonhouse.co.uk. is a "A Magnificent Stately House Set In The Rich History of The Scottish English Borders".

So not much difference there then........
