That one looked fine to me too - but you could have easily yeilded too.

I'm trying hard not to be hypocritical or saying anything that could be used against me - now that I've only got a 1600cc engine it takes me a fair bit longer on the straight to pass - but I can easily out brake pretty much anything out there (apart from similar machinery)

What was more concerning was the skyline infront diving to the left at the hairpin and then attempting a drift is such close proximity to other cars!

I agree - 95% of the time I drive quite responsibly (I think), but I've found this thread useful to allow me to reconsider the other 5% of occasions

I deliberately chose to follow the Skyline to get its drifting attempts on film, so am probably guilty of enticement too

I have been on track with you more than most, also a pretty fast road drive recently with you as pax in the Evo, and never had a problem.

It probably helps that we lap at similar speeds, or maybe I even overtake you, I think I remember a video commentary where you said "here comes tut".

It is always a fine line on a track day. Those of us that know each other and have similar power are quite happy to run nose to tail, that comes with trust, but I try not to do it with cars that I do not know as they can find it intimidating.

Main thing is that it is a good point of discussion as we get everybodies views, and can mull them over.

This has happened to me twice, and once was caught on Rog's (The Admiral's) video. As I saw it, he was coming from a long long way back at the straight and I was virtually at the brow of duffus by the time he actually passed. On the video, you can hear him say, "don't you pull out on me Mr Lotus..." As I recall it, I'd been over on the right hand side for some time but he never had the pace (or something) until very late on. Duffus isn't a corner I like being on the wrong side of, having to jump on the brakes...

Firstly, I'm sorry about that overtake. I misjudged it and apologise for upsetting you and you passenger.

I would say in my defence that I try to be a corteous driver, and I'm sure watching the full video will confirms this.

Rog, i think you got mixed up, greg wasnt driving the yellow caterham, I dont know what incident greg is talking about. And as i said before, it wasnt anybody's fault, you just gave us a fright, due to the 30mph speed difference, the proximity of the pass (as we were moving back over) and the fact we had no idea you would be there. like i said on the other forum, thats all forgotten about.

I am surprised that there isn't more accidents on track to be honest!

As for yielding to let people back in, i think everyone gets a bit of red mist on track, the biggest straight line hero i have seen recently was the black ultima...
