Congrats and Welcome to Lotus ownership.

You've probably got a couple of weeks worth of roof off blasts before we get properly into the winter too ;)

Meh, Andy and I did an SAS raid to Welshland one morning to go buy the original RLC - that turned out to be an above average motor

Nice looking example well done :D
Just needs centre cap inserts or decals to finish the wheels off, good selection on ebay or also available from the likes of hangar111 etc:

I bought a set of the black/silver ones for my alloys and also changed the nose cone badge, reckon the black/silver look would suit that colour combo :thumbsup

Thanks for the badges link, I was discussing getting wheel badges for it last night. I think a splash of yellow in the black would look nice though.

Got all insured up with Adrian flux yesterday so was able to commute for the first time this morning, picking my way through the potholes of edinburgh.

I'm going to have to look at raising it up a little as I'm scrapping on the bus friendly bumps going in and out of my estate, but the normal bumps are fine. I do weight about two people though lol, if I have a passenger it might beach!

Also had great comfort improvement after finding the lumber support feature. :thumbsup

Try driving 1 wheel in the middle of the road + 1 wheel right over the top of the speed bump.
Also remember the floor of the Elise is flat, unlike most cars, so there is no exhaust to get caught etc.

Also, on a similar subject, watch when parking close to kerbs (forwards) as the front plate/plinth tends to get stuck. Best to consider getting out and pushing the car away rather than reversing. Reversing often pulls the plate off (and the fixings out of the clam...) whilst getting out may raise the car enough to allow it clearance...

yeah I've tried every combination over the humps. It's scraping lightly just at the sides when a wheel is ether side of the hump, whether I have one side on, or both sides on one each etc.

Not too bad but if I do it every day it's going to wear something nastily. I'll need to stick my head under and check what exactly is making the noise.

I was thinking that when I had it out at lunch. It definately felt like a body scrape but will confirm later.
