He will be greatly missed.

RIP Brian
Yup, an abiding memory for me.

Only just picked up on this, last night in fact courtesy of Cameron. What a bolt from the blue.

The chinos-shirt-n-tie image will be my lasting memory I think :-)

Acht, Brian. What is there to say :-(

I think everyone will respect Chris' anxiety but nothing to fear, IMHO.

I confess to having similar - albeit brief - thoughts about Lawrence's immaculate Europa at the time.

Great to keep things in the family and I am sure it will mean a lot to Linda. Crikey Tut, you are some broker.

Yes, twas me, still have memories about the car, and also the way it was being peddled very smoothly!

My pax laps with Brian were my first ever around Knockhill and had quite a few more with him over the years. :drive :drive :drive

Was nice to be able to return the favour a couple of times and to show him how I had learned from his advice (amongst others of course)

Oh OK Tut I may drink something stronger - I managed to get invited to a private yacht club with a Omani diplomat which was rather entertaining

Folks,

Firstly let me say how sorry I was to hear the news about Brian. I never met or knew the man but the response on the forum speaks volumes about the him.

I wanted to post a quick note to let everyone know that I had purchased Brians Exige after Tut had been asked by Linda to see if anyone on S_E wanted the car. I am absolutely over the moon with the Exige but would have much preferred to have obtained it under better circumstances. The last thing I wanted to do was upset anyone and was a bit concered about how everyone would take it.

After arranging with Tut to go and view the car, Alan Gourlay and myself picked the car up on Saturday and followed eachother in turns back up the road from Falkirk through Glenshee - turned out to be a cracking day and I really enjoyed my first run in the Lotus. I have been trying to buy a lotus for about 4-5months now and I think it is good that this car is going to stay within S_E and be used on the runs and at KH now and again.

Anyway just wanted to post a quick note and let everyone know that I am over the moon with the car but respect that there a lot of history and memories attached to this car so will not forget that.

Cheers

Chris
