Yeah it was the one on TZ  Was initially wanting a pepsi, but saw that one and really liked it. Dont know much about the modding scene but appear to be book marking a few sites for "research"......

Rolfe - yes i've got the bug quite badly, it's a very very very dangerous site.....im loving the theory of buying a watch, flipping it and then buying another but i'm finding it hard to get rid of them ! Ploprof is on my list too.....sadly unlikely to afford one any time soon. Watch collection now insured for more than VX. Eeeeek.

According to the listing it is 'retro' - 1999 at its youngest, could be a mistake but it ain't new. It's also a 38mm, best to try one on for size to see if it looks good on your wrists. The colt is at the lower end of the big-B range, see what they go for in the UK, for example on Blowers (who are not famous for cheapness..)

Always be wary of overseas purchases as customs could nab it and charge you VAT plus a handling fee - that could be '00s.

Finally, doesn't appear to be a genuine Breitling strap.

In short, better deals elsewhere old boy. I wouldn't touch it but if you go in with your eyes open and its what you want....

I know the general opinion of designer watches, but this would be a present for someone who just wants a nice watch.

It is on secretsales for £245, RRP £1400, so I googled and it came up on this site at £1370.

Would it be a good buy at that price differential, remembering that it is for a watch wearer and not an S_E aficionado?

Baby or full sized?

If the latter, I might be able to assist.

A collector chum has an original vintage one (70s?) on mesh that he offered to me a while back.

Resisting my indifference to "Designer Watches"/Quartz watches, I would state that I do not reckon that particulal timepiece is worth £1400 in anyone's wildest imagination

For that budget, I would put my money on a decent Seiko dive watch........... or if you determined to go down the "designer route" there are a few makers that produce a reasonable looking watch with a good automatic movement.

Father G bought a TW Steel as endorsed by "Crazy Dave" and it looks inoffensive on the wrist?

:cheers

Full sized. Drop me a pm, suspect we're looking at stratospheric value but no harm done by enquiring :thumbsup
