I was just wondering from those that have one how they are holding up generally?
Cheers

I've recently purchased a couple of seikos and have been delighted with them. Think if i was spending that sort of money i'd go seiko personally.

Nothing jumps out at me...... Far from a seiko expert though.
Not used the site myself but it gets a good write up on tz watch forum.

From another site....
FAQ: What's the difference between Seiko J1 models and the K1 models.
A: The J1 models are also for the Far and Middle East markets. They have the days in English and Arabic. They have to have "Made in Japan" on the face. The J1 models sometimes have a shorter bracelet to suit the smaller wrist of that market place. Our models have the full size UK bracelet.
The K1 models are for the European market and they have the days in English and French/Spanish. They have the full size bracelet. There is absolutely no difference in build quality.
We stock & list both models. SNZF17J1 SNZF17

I task thee to a challenge, really like the SPORK on the TZ post which is apparently discontinued that you posted on. Checked Chronograph.com, but not sure....
Any thoughts, itching to buy a new one!

Dave, get out there and try watches on. It's such a personal preference - become a 'watch watcher' and if you see something on someone else that you like speak to them about it. You don't need to spend 5k on a Rolex, subs with dates can be had for 3 and you could pick up a quartz Omega Seamaster for under a grand. You can get a rolex date for 2k.
Buy something you like

Seikos are addicitive. Got my 5 on today and it's a lovely lovely thing. If you're buying add on the VAT to the creation price and be prepared to pay it......then if you get away with it you can spend that money on a new strap
Dave - I'm with the Rolfe....i always wanted a monaco until i tried one on....likewise i never understood the allure of the speedmaster until i tried that on. Ended up buying one used for £1500 and it's my favourite by far. Most SE meets will have a least a few watches you'll want to try on
WRT your seiko could be saved by a wee service. Might be worth a call to Martins of Glasgow to get a rough price.

I sent my Seiko away to Seiko (funnily enough) and they replaced the movement, it wasn't expensive. If they can't fix it they will give you a discount on a replacement. The watch was a 21st present so I was over the moon when they fixed it.
Sent from my ZX SPECTRUM +2A

Still have my seiko kinetic that I got for my 18th, glass is scratched to all hell but it still keeps good time. Liked them for a while and am thinking about a monster too

Dave, I've used Creationwatches, no problems at all. Arrived quickly & wasn't stung at customs either.
I have no signature.
