Very nice indeed. Martin has 2 of our watches at the moment and my Sinn in in Germany for service.

This leaves me pretty much watchless to go on holiday next week!

Any suggestions on a cheap beater hack I can pick up over the weekend are welcomed :)

The SE beater of choice is usually a Seiko diver but i'm not sure you'll find one this weekend.

I'd lend you mine but i'm ummmm in the middle of modifying it* and it's currently in bits**

*ok i may be ruining it

** DDtB and i may have broken the hands and i'm waiting for new ones ot arrive

You're welcome to borrow a G shock if you want though  :thumbsup

Got Pebble!

More and more apps appearing everyday and some of the watch faces are really cool.

Loving it.

Love it too - I was on the list, but stalled at the last minute...Might have to change my mind :)

Steve - A cheap beater hack suggestion might be this:

http://tinyurl.com/oy4z9gx

£43 and looks pretty good on the NATO.

This is my current watch of fancy - Homage to the Seiko 6105 - 8119 (as worn by Captain Willard in Apocalypse Now).

Custom case, with a domed crystal and choice of NE15 (Sumo / Alpinist) or cheaper 7S (SKX007) movements.

Question is, do I need another Seiko diver...?!

:D chuffed to bits with it. Spontaneously drove through to Edinburgh on sat morning and pulled the trigger after weeks debating and trying for discount .

Full retail from Laings unfortunately but wasn't comfortable ordering cheaper online. Buying from authorised dealer enhanced the experience I though :D

Nice watch, looks like you have been giving it some use going by the bruise on your wrist

Cheers for the offer of the G-Shock Martin :thumbsup Although, factoring in the petrol cost of a return trip to Glasgow, I thought I'd better just goto Argos and buy one of these ;)

Image

Lo and belold, the mighty Casio Wave Ceptor! Set to the Rugby atomic radio clock daily, so £30 well spent, and something good to set the automatics to long term :)

Image

Here's a quick photo of the Sinn too. Properly gutted its not back yet, but with the Argon gas fill and 2000M water resistance, it's got to go back to Germany for service.
