Good luck with it mate.
Not on the list mate... Freelander comercial or similar....

Interview went as well as the first one, terms reasonable. Getting home every night will be the real bonus.. still working out if I can aford the pay cut to start working onshore yet though.
Great news John congratulations. :thumbsup Things are looking up in the world.

The Freelander will be handy for SE picnics you can bring an extended BBQ equipment list along that even surpasses your Lotus boot rack BBQ setups which are just legendary 8)

Lesley got a phone call this morning asking if I was home yet. Tried to call there office but no answer. Will try again in a few days. The only thing putting me off is the possibility of a relocation further south. The wont know for sure where my final placement will be until after the 6month training is finnished. Doesnt sound very proffesional to me.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

How far south do you think that might be? That is very strange to offer someone a job and not be able to tell them where they will end up working. Sometimes this world is so weird.

At least it proves there are jobs out there for your skillset and that you are able to impress them in the interviews.

Meant to be Scotland area with possible occasional postings abroad but it is starting to sound like that was maybe a carrot to get me back for the second interview. Dont fancy being based full time in England, more tracks nearby though so it wouldnt be all bad. House prices a bit higher than where I am now so it starting to look less of an oppertunity and more like a bad idea.

Well... the first post on this thread of 2008. Getting back to normallity would be nice, but with cars going off everywhere, things breaking and electric playing it looks like a bad start to 2008 for some of us. Heavy snow forecast over next few weeks... might end up leaving the car in Aberdeen and getting train home. With the way everyone luck is going it would be the safer option.
