Sounds like a complete load of bollocks if you ask me.... The fiscal would take one look at a case like this and say "where's the evidence!"
But then again, i'm not a lawyer

Arriving broadside, in a cloud of smoke......

Anyway here it goes , gave the car a little burst on the main st , prob up to maybe 35mph at most , in first gear so yes it was loud. Cop few cars behind me pulls me over . He is in a ordinary cop car (no camera) and is by himself (no partner). He asks how many points I have to which i reply "3", he says well this will make you lose your licence for dangerous driving. He takes me in back of car and takes my details name address etc. He tells me he doesnt need my documents as they have copies in the office (already been pulled 4 times for nowt). So thats that , he doesnt read me my rights , issue horte or anything just says "you will be up at court for that " and lets me go . Before I leave I questioned the fact that he is by himself and has apparently just done me with no evidence at all . He replys well its my word against someone's with 3 points on his licence.
anyone know were I stand with this ? Can he really charge me ?
okay so i had a little burst of speed but its arguable wither or not i broke the speed limit , I am sure everyone on this board enjoys the same occasional blat , thats why we drive the cars we do !
As far as i am aware that charge will never stand in court, my cousin got done with the same thing, again 1 copper, did make it to court but judge threw it out and gave the copper a bollocking for wasting court time

In a wee place like Barrhead booting it in first up the main street in an orange car is bound to cause problems.
Why have you been stopped so many times?
ahhh christ !! nabbed!!
I have been stopped 3 times for "random" checks , another because they thought i was going around a corner 2 fast , they just dont understand how the yokos work

, was nothing major thoughprob done the corner at 30 , were most cars would slow to 20

local high st is not the right time and place - if you have had 4 pulls you must have been drawing attention to your driving, car gets the attention anyway so even more restraint required than 'regular cars' which don't get a second glance.
Chill and keep the 'occasional blats' away from towns /villages .

So you havent ever given your car a one off down the high street? I dont mean breaking speed limits, but a short blip of throttle?
And no i am not for speeding around towns, i stick to a very cautious 20 past schools or built up areas.

Agree with Gareth, Jim, and Kenny's 1st posts here.
Seems like a pattern forming - they wouldn't pull you for no reason 3 times.
Around town, (especially in a bright coloured noisy sportscar - I should know) drive like a cock, expect to be treated like a cock.
End of story

So you havent ever given your car a one off down the high street?
Maybe I have - when I was young and foolhardy
Doesn't really impress anyone though, in fact the opposite -

boyracer, so whats the point you look like a dick and you risk points/ fines etc

Same goes for me - a fat bloke in a daft noddy car looks like a dick anyways, without maxing it past Presto's
