j33ama wrote:How much for one of these then ? I do not necessarily need my car any louder the stage 2 is more than enough , but it only bangs and pops every so often. Would love it to do so a bit more . will it make it much louder? should i stick to stage 2 only ?
While on the subject , I have taken a day off work on friday , to sort some small probs with car . I would quite like to get the undertray off and replace all the fixings as i think they are rattling . How do you guys suggest Jacking i up ? ramps ? single jack ? cant see to many jacking points at first glance .
Not sure about the 'yota but i changed mine without jacking the car at all. Not heard your car j3mmma, but a decat will make it SIGNIFICANTLY louder

I needed a MIL eliminator kit on the k series to fool the ecu into thinking the cat was still there. Maybe someone with a decatted yota can tell you more though...
Arriving broadside, in a cloud of smoke......

By the way...what's a DECAT and other than creating noise, what does it do? And how much

DeCat replaces the Cat with a bit of drainpipe, it will improve high end power a bit but at the cost of mid range torque.
It has been reported to actually loose power on VVC's.
On a 'yota I have no idea what they will do.
Mine spat and popped all the time and sounded great but made cock all difference to the power that I could tell.
Biggest reason people fit them after the noise thing is that they are cheap!! Around £30-£50 or so (Unless the seller is particually gullible...!

it's a length of pipe that replaces the catalytic converter it will inrease flow in the exhaust, I don't think you gain much other than it's noise, it really draws attention to your car though

I Have been very paranoid bout how my car sounds , Cant help but think it just sounds like any other corsa or clio with a loud exhaust .Most people have said it sounds nothing like that and has a "race car" sound ....which i like
as long as this Cat bypas aint gonna make it sound any like some ned mobile , I'am in !

Yota decat is not something I have come across... I'm sure they exist but I would beware of upsetting the ECU and invalidating warrantees and so on...
Research first
SELC*CK is pretty good for tech queries.
