P.S. You don't actually have to get into the car if they ask you to, you can decline.

What's to be raging about?
You've got a illegal plate and therefore breaking the law.
Pay the fine and ditch the chav plate

:popcorn

Had a similar conversation with someone the other day... he was stopped for doing 80mph on a motorway and plans to "have his day in court" and thinks the copper was over zealous and everyone is doing that kind of speed all the time yada yada yada... we all found it highly amusing that he is completely overlooking the fact that he was breaking the law, case closed!...

Lots of people break the law in lots of ways lots of the time.... some get caught, some don't, some get picked on and that sucks but the solution is kind of obvious really... be very lucky or be very good! ... there's not a lot else to it really and no point getting pissed off about it either!

Then you'll have to be especially good until someone else comes along to distract him..... you just need to find someone to draw attention to themselves by driving too quickly off the lights in a loud bright sportscar or something...

and if he pulls you again, try to make sure your car is 100% legal and make sure you were driving sensibly etc. and top it all off by being really really nice to him. That's bound to annoy him more than you ranting and having an illegal plate etc.
