True, but the best rule of thumb to stick to is that total weight of the trailer & contents doesn't exceed 80% of the towing vehicle's weight.
This applies to normal road cars - thinny's defender bends this rule somewhat

I think we are missing the main issue here.... Andy WTF are you up to? All this talk about needing a trailer for an S1 (a bit cagey if you ask me) and then talk on the Classic Speedfair thread about being there in a Hethel product....
Are you making another S1 purchase?
