This could be a long thread.

The current range of peugots are frikkin scary, with those stupid huge 'mouths' on them. Had one of the big 4x4 ones behind me the other day- it was like getting chased by a basking shark

It does seem to be doing quite well in the WRC. It does drive a lot better than the last model

Although I did see an arty shadowy pic of a 3-door version and it looked like it might retrieve some street cred over the current abomination.

New Jeeps are looking big and ugly these days too , I guess big grilles are in.

Another Vote for the new 'Preza.

A real disappointment.

Also can't stand the Pueg'ot 1007, 207 & 308, can these cars come from the same company that made the sublime 205 and 405?

I used to love the elegance of the lines of my '05.

Not a big fan of any of the current Bemmeers. Cars are generally too dull these days.

Would anyone be surprised if i said i preferred the panda to the 500 ?

The original 500 was cool, in fact even the Cinq was cool but the new one is badge engineering of the highest order. In the pics it looked pretty good, but on the road it's just too big on the outside and too wee on the inside.

Its a more expensive, heavier, less fun to drive panda. I mean for £9k you could get a proper car :thumbsdown

The Arbarth looks like it will be fun, but it also looks like it's gonna be pretty heavy for what it is.
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

I'm not a huge fan of the 500, but I do really like the Panda 100bhp  I almost bought one as a run/winter car about while my elise was off the road.

Also have to say I quite like the X6...wouldn't buy one but it looks better than the X5, X3. Only problem with it is there is zero head room in the back, the diesel monster is supposed to be pretty quick.

Re the 500, is nobody twigging the fact that they've just taken the drawings of the Nissan Micra and glued an old 500 nose on?

Pish - as the Donkey says, why pay a premium for a Panda in drag when it's heavier, more expensive and smaller inside? Badge engineering at it's worst...

I fancy a 500 but only the orginal version

I was somewhat shocked at the size of the new one when i saw it in the flesh for the first time, but small cars are pretty huge these days. Most superminis are roughly the same length as a 90.

I am with you there. All the Pugs of recent years are not so much ugly as just crushingly mediocre. Peugeot used to build good looking, great handling drivers cars - 205, 405,106, 306 etc. The 106 XSi remains the best handling front wheel drive car I have ever driven. My wife Helen had a 307 company car until recently which was, er, sh*t. Sloppy gearshift, numb steering, over servoed brakes, MPV driving position - horrible in every way. I had a 308 hire car recently and it was no better. Did all Pug's good engineers leave?

I am very ashamed  to have to admit my outlaws have a 'Ssssso-wrong Odious'... it is brutally ugly. Nothing else on the road comes close. Makes a Cayenne look pretty.

It's hard enough having outlaws visit you... but when they show up in this you wonder if it's a deliberate plan to make it worse
