Mass, all the time I had the watch I knew it was quite expensive but wasn't really fussed how much. As soon as I realised I had thrown it away I went to find out how much it was worth and felt a bit of a berk!!

Like I said... thats me and watches finished now!!

Watch fan too.
Omega Seamaster worn daily for last 10 years and a Maurice Lacroix (can't remember model name) as a dress watch.
My dad got an Omega Datejust for his 21st back in 1964 and as he has just retired, as a wee extra I got it all refurbished for him as had been lying broken in a drawer for about the last 20 years. Didn't want it refurbished to look brand spanking new so has been done really sympathetically. Must admit it looks ace. Something

about a nice, plain 45 year old quality watch.
And as mentioned on another thread, seriously considering a Bell & Ross Vintage 126 XL at the moment.

Mass,
I don't know what it is about watches but there's something about about them. I normally wear a Rolex Sea-Dweller and also have an IWC (can't remember the type but its the one with a ceramic case). I dream of a Patek.
happy collecting

I guess Gareth is a watch lover or maybe just a dealer - he's had a few in the classifieds.

Omega Seamaster worn daily for the last 12 years and i bought a Tag Microtimer (101 of 999) last year as a nice contrast.

Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.
....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

Yes, silver, gold blue. I would say that the whole thing of buying a rolex is just an amazing experience. Right from walking in the shop, that you have spent possibly years pondering, till when you get home with the leather bound box and open it in the comfort of your own home. Something you will remember for the rest of you life. If your into that sort of thing I might ad. Must be true of anything of real importance to you.

Wish I could afford to collect watches. I bought myself a Breitling Airwolf last year but I don't think I can justify the cost of the next one I want . If I did collect watches it would just be Breitling, I'm not a big fan of Tag's, Rolex's and Omega's.

Waiting for my SS daytona at the mo, been top of the waiting list since April and had to let a black faced one go as my cash went on a honeymoon. Can't wait!
