I'll leave it to Robin's discretion, but seriously, all you need is a penknife - it's not a secure car. Christ if they want something, then they are in - to get in like Robin did would be too much hassle for the thief.
But if you definately want it removed, I will....
Well, my car is S_E stickered, so to take a passer-by to an online-guide in how to break in (in a manner that can be passed off as an owner that knows what he's doing, rather than a ned with a knife) seems a little silly.
Call me paranoid, but its week 2 of the P&J living on street rather than in a nice parking area...
No offence meant to Robin

i agree with robin and shug. i'f someone wanted in, then the last thing they are going to do, is do it gently, like an owner who has lost his keys. knife the soft top (talking about any convertible here) and there in in seconds. faff about with allen keys and stuff and there more likely to get caught

I have left the 7 many a time in various supermarket carparks in DUNDEE (proud Dundonian faction

) - no roof doors or windscreen - just can't leave anything AT ALL sitting about - never had any issues other that returning to seeing the Snot circled by kids on bikes, ready to ask all the how much/how fast mister etc...
Also used to park my TVR Griffith in a less than nice area of the city, one time an oik said "you better put the roof up or I'll pish in yer car"

I leave mine with the roof off, and possibly more in it than you'd consider wise.
More worried about some gypo throwing something in it rather than trying to pinch it....admitedly it rarely sees service unless its track, weekend or lady related now though.

Right oh, remove it if you want - just pointing out how easy it is!
Like any ned that's about to rob your elise is going to read this board then go, "oh, so *that's* how you do it ..." - you should be thanking me, 'cos if they don't do it the nice way like wot I tort 'em, they will just chuck a sparkie through the pax window or blade the top, but have it your way ...

I leave mine all over the place sans roof. Better that than getting the roof slashed or windows smashed. The downside with this is that I've come back to the car with all manner of things on the drivers seat. Funniest was a whole pineapple covered in toothpicks (made up to look like a hedgehog) This was on your street Robin a few years ago.
Kelvin.
