Rumours - Fleetwood Mac - very apt for just now - "The Chain" will have the hairs standing up at the back of your neck if you play it loud!

If you like a bit of rock then try Airbourne - Runnin' wild. It's a great album for the car.

Was listening to No Roots by Faithless in the car on the way to work - great album, as is their more recent one 'For all the New Arrivals'

Another for the new Prodigy album. I'd gone off the whole new-age punk stuff they'd headed towards in recent years (although there was the odd good track) This is a real return to form.

For some retro '80s vibe, I actually quite like Ladyhawke - suitably light and poppy after Prodigy...

Goldfrapp - Supernature or black cherry

Hmmm...some 'interesting' tastes on here.

Jon, would second Doves and Yeah Yeah Yeahs (although not sure how the latter's new album compares to previous efforts.) Also, White Lies and Ladyhawke if you want that retro-80s touch (the former Bunnymen-esque; the latter electro-ish.)

If you want to keep it local, check out The Phantom Band (or indeed The Twilight Sad.)

For something in a Springtsteen vein, try The Gaslight Anthem.

If you like ladies rocking-out then The Duke Spirit or The (now defunct) Distillers. po'ed

I've also been meaning to check out The Decembrists, The Leisure Society, Deerhunter and Detroit Social Club who are all supposed to be very, very, good.

How about some Corries, canna beat a spirited drive on a good Scottish road and the Corries playing :D ...The best of, is funnily enough quite good.

Quality - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTcnA-gIRpg

If you want something a bit more upbeat then how about, Rage against the Machine, Velvet Revolver or the Prodigy 1990-2005 album.

A bit like my iPod that post... well except for Jack Johnson that is.

If Evanescence are your thing get some Lacuna Coil

Rumours as mentioned before, if you like FM, their most recent album Say You Will is amazing.

Pearl Jam's 10 has either just been re-released or is about to be re-released and is a must own.

Nonpoint's cover of Phil Collins In The Air Tonight from the Miami Vice OST is amazing.

You can't beat a bit of Blink 182 or Garbage.

I've been really liking Metallica's newest album, and Iron Maiden's greatest hits has nothing but great songs'

or for something a bit lighter, why not try 90s Irish faves, The Corrs
