Or is he talking about the Trofeo Cup Abarth's?

At least one rolled at Silverstone during the first race of the season...

Nice wheels, anyway - :thumbsup

Just flogged my Panda 100hp, after 2 completely reliable years of ownership - Barely depreciated, too...Small Fiats are where it's at!

I like it.
It was a toss up between that and a MINI for us a few months ago.
Not too many other cute and funky wee cars out there in the same vein. :thumbsup

Momo... I also saw that Grey SS at Sighthill. Looks very cool... even with the cloth seats. The white alloys suit the grey & red, but not sure about the other colours.

I only got a test of a 1.2 from Sighthill... no sniff of the Abarth being taken out... but placed the order anyway.... (ironically, I now hear that the grey one is going to be hooned around the track this weekend at the Knockill Speedfair)
Posted up on the Abarth forum about lack of test drive, and hey presto.. I had an offer of a test drive in Glasgow.. so went & did a deal with them instead.
Don't expect any discount if you are buying new.. just be warned. You may haggle some Mats, or 50% off some dealer fit stuff.. but Abarth are not allowing dealers to discount cars apparantly (no-one on the Abarth forums have had any discount as far as I can see).

Have you tried Abarth in Glasgow? Jaclyn is the person to deal with. They have an SS demo car plus a non-SS demo (which is for sale). They have a 6mth old red base model with only 1300miles for a decent price.
If it's black you want, then they also had 2 black A500's in stock this morning.. I'm sure 1 had the 17" multispokes, and the other may have had the 17" Petal alloys.

Residuals at the moment are pretty crazy as well - I could have sold that one I had 5 times in the last couple of days, but it was a 1.4 Auto. Most of the people that contacted me wanted one but didnt want the 6 month wait. I think the abarths will do the same for the next 18-24mths.

Fiat have done well with the "make one less than you can sell" thinking anyway.

Good stuff! :)

My missus has had one for a couple of years (1.4 'sport' + lounge interior).

When it still had only double figures on the clock, I "borrowed" it one weekend which happened to coincide with the Fintray Hillclimb.

We're still thinking about swapping it for an Abarth ... although, I may have the opportunity to aquire an original 60s 1000TC ... which would be cool. 8)

Cheers,

Eric :)

Our 1.2 has done 30k without skipping a beat - despite me thrashing the tits off it for 26k of those miles. Oh and an autotest.

Pretty indestructable these days :thumbsup

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.
